She is 26 years old. She is an engineer with Sabah Electricity Board Sdn Bhd.
Joyce was at the outing at the Fit Malaysia Sabah
Event.
I had the opportunity to have an interview with Joyce regarding her view on “Why Fewer Women Are Coming Out to Exercise”.
WSFFM : Do you exercise?
Joyce: I jog round Likas Stadium every other day after work. I also join our company sports club where I play netball once a week if I can.
WSFFM: I see you are very motivated to exercise. Is there any reason for that?
Joyce: I am basically a very health conscious person. I like to keep fit and be fit. I love doing it.
WSFFM: Have you heard of our special brand of aerobic workout called ‘Stick2stix’?
Joyce: I have no idea what it is but I am interested to wait and find out. Most probably join in.
WSFFM: Why do you think fewer women come out to exercise nowadays?
Joyce: I think having no time is the main issue. Most housewives are tied down by family commitments. Working girls maybe tired after work or they are just not motivated to exercise.
WSFFM: What would you do to encourage women to exercise?
Joyce: Give them gyms at place of work and also create more parks for jogging and bicycling. Maybe have more fitness programs during the weekends when women have more free time.
